Catching up on the blog with the Alameda County Fair

Wow, well, all I can say is that it's either keep up with the blog or keep up with my sleep these days and you can all guess who's winning!

I'll try to get better about posting - I promise! But right now, I'm so behind I don't know where to start. So I'll just post until one of the girls wakes up - which should give me a minute or two...

We'll go back to late June/early July when we visited the Alameda County Fair. We always visit the fair at least twice - this time we managed to visit three times with two week old Carly in tow. She slept through most of it, as it was quite hot - 107 the first day!
It's always a great opportunity to see farm animals! Sofia loves the goats!
We even met a robot!
The other kids we were with were afraid of it, but Sofia made a new friend!

Cousin William and Sofia were not shy and sang to the audience!

Sofia and friend Sarah playing at the toddler play area
Sofia scooping beans!
And William scooping beans!
Sofia and Mommy rode the Merry-Go-Round!
While Grammie, Pop and Carly cheered us on!
Last year Sofia had so much fun on the kiddie rides that we decided to get her an unlimited ride bracelet. Good thing, too, because we really got our money's worth! She rode this GIANT slide at least 10 times in a row! Keep in mind, it's about three stories tall and she had to walk up all those stairs each time dragging a giant piece of carpet! That's my girl!

The teacups were also a big hit!

And Daddy even rode the rollercoaster! His poor knees will never be the same!

Well, we had a great time as usual! Until next year!
